You can make purchases via the phone, inside our store or use the online check out system. Please note that for some items, you have different finishes and options available. This needs to be properly selected from the drop down menu for the product in question before you add the product to Cart. Where possible, we would provide pictures of the different options for reference but it is sometimes difficult to reflect how colours appear on screen and in different lighting. We would highly recommend that you visit us in store to have a better indication of the different options. We are always happy to help you make the decision that is right for you.
Please note however that some items are restricted from being sold online. You can call us at 07 3158 3426 during office hours for more information about the product, or email us at email@example.com with details of how we can call you back at your convenience.
Important: by placing an order online you are making an offer to purchase that will be accepted or rejected at the discretion of Brisbane HiFi. Please note that taking your payment does not indicate acceptance of the offer, and any payment taken before the offer is rejected will be immediately returned to you. If accepted by us, you will receive your product as outlined in the Delivery Methods section.
Methods of Payment
Our online sales portal will accept payment via PayPal, which is a secure transaction model for online purchases. We can also accept payment via credit and debit cards over the phone with the EFTPOS terminal in our store. Please note that we would not store any credit card details we receive over the phone, in compliance with applicable laws.
Please also note that the transactions on PayPal may appear as AudioStream Pty Ltd, which is trading as Brisbane HiFi.
We can only fulfil orders within Australia and cannot ship items out of the country. For peace of mind, we will only use shipment methods that have online tracking facilities so you can monitor the progress of the shipment at every stage.
When your order has been shipped, you will be provided with a tracking number and a link to the delivery service company’s website. The courier service will require a signature from someone at the address for the receipt of goods and will be a way to ensure the delivery does not go awry.
Cost of Shipping
All orders $2,000 and over are eligible for free shipping within Australia. For orders under $2,000, we will charge a shipping fee of $50. Alternatively, you have the option to pick the item up from our store when you place the order so you do not incur the shipping fee. We will contact you once the item is in stock.
All items sold by Brisbane HiFi, whether in store or online are sourced from the official Australian distributors – and come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian consumer law. If you encounter any issues with an item you have ordered, please contact us immediately. In the rare instance that an item is dead on arrival, we will offer a one to one exchange at no cost to you within the first 15 days from the time you received the item. We may require you to step through a troubleshooting process for confirmation of the fault before the exchange is activated.
Terms and conditions of the manufacturer's warranty apply to defective items after the first 15 days of the customer receiving the items. Some distributors may require you to return the defective items at your cost directly to an authorised service centre, manufacturer or distributor’s facilities.
Brisbane HiFi will accept returns on items sold, should you change your mind, subject to all the following conditions:
- The items must be returned in less than 15 days of the shipment date
- The items must still be sealed and in the original complete packaging, including manuals, cables and accessories in their original condition
- Items returned are subject to a 20% restocking fee
- The items must be returned to our shop in person or shipped via registered post or courier with tracking facilities at the buyer’s own cost
- You will be notified via e-mail when the Refund is completed – usually within 5 business days of Brisbane HiFi receiving the return items. Refunds will be made in the form of the original payment method.
For us to process the returns subject to the conditions above:
Send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org containing;
- Your name
- Your address
- Your preferred contact phone number
- The invoice number for the purchase
- Date of purchase
- The reason for the return
Brisbane HiFi will then reply to your email with a Returns Authority Approval number
On the item to be returned, please include a copy of the invoice and write the Returns Authority Approval Number on the invoice

Please make sure the items are securely packed and protected and use delivery methods with tracking facilities. You are also encouraged to have adequate insurance cover for the shipment. We will not be held responsible for any items that are damaged or lost during a return.
Brisbane HiFi would not accept items for returns under any of the following conditions:
- Items that are returned more than 15 days after they were shipped
- Items that have been opened – with shrink/plastic wrap removed and/or security seal broken
- Items that have been used, damaged or missing components
Any items that returned to Brisbane HiFi under any of these conditions will be returned to the customer at the customer’s own cost.
