Ionic Moving Coil Cartridge Delivers Unmatched Sound Realism

The Ionic Moving Coil Cartridge immerses listeners in a profound three-dimensional soundscape, capturing every instrument with precision and depth. Designed with an aero-grade aluminium body and a finely tuned elliptical diamond stylus, the Ionic delivers smooth, distortion-free playback with vocals that sound both velvety and dynamic. The cartridge’s construction follows AVID’s high-end principles yet remains accessible, bringing high-fidelity performance to a broader audience.

Aluminium Cantilever and Elliptical Diamond Stylus Capture Intricate Detail

At the heart of the Ionic cartridge is an aluminium tube cantilever paired with a solid diamond elliptical stylus. This carefully chosen stylus profile enhances tracking accuracy, allowing for detailed reproduction across the entire frequency spectrum, from deep bass to high treble. Its elliptical shape follows the grooves of vinyl records with precision, reducing surface noise and capturing the subtleties of each note with lifelike clarity. This attention to detail transforms every playback into a performance, engaging listeners in a faithful rendering of their favourite records.

Vibration Isolation for Pristine Sound Quality

The Ionic cartridge integrates a specialised design to reduce needle feedback, also known as "needle-talk." Its machined aluminium body directs unwanted vibrations away from the stylus and into the tonearm, avoiding distortion and preserving sound purity. This technology keeps background noise minimal, ensuring a silent backdrop against which music stands out in vivid contrast. From the softest passages to the most dynamic peaks, this design supports a balanced, immersive listening experience with every genre, from classical to rock.

Low Dynamic Inertia for Record Protection and Sound Fidelity

The Ionic maintains the flagship magnet assembly and coil structure, delivering low dynamic inertia and protecting records from excessive wear. This feature reduces the risk of record damage and allows the cartridge to handle challenging passages with ease, while also minimising surface noise. The Ionic’s compatibility with load impedances above 100Ω makes it adaptable to a wide range of audio setups, and its 0.32mV output voltage ensures it integrates seamlessly with high-quality phono stages.

Realism and Depth for Every Listening Style

The Ionic cartridge provides a lifelike, spatially accurate soundstage that is particularly compelling for classical music, opera, and rock enthusiasts alike. Classical fans will appreciate the precise placement of instruments and the cartridge’s ability to capture the ambient nuances of live performances, while rock listeners will revel in its powerful bass response and fast, accurate rhythm handling. Despite of genre, the Ionic enhances every record with engaging realism, drawing listeners deeper into the performance.

The Ionic Moving Coil Cartridge combines AVID’s high-performance engineering with a versatile, user-friendly design, delivering an unmatched musical experience that brings vinyl collections to life.
