Chrome-plated with eight fixed points, this massive platter optimises the record-to-platter interface, significantly reducing vibration and energy loss. The integrated resin mat reflects most of the vibration back into the vinyl itself, ensuring that the sound remains undistorted and true to the original recording. This carefully constructed mat also compresses high frequencies into the platter body, which are then naturally absorbed by the nickel and chrome layers, creating a playback experience that feels precise, vibrant, and enveloping.

DSP Vari-Speed Power Supply Provides Precision Control

The Acutus Classic’s power supply includes a DSP-based speed control unit that generates a highly stable frequency, allowing precise adjustments for both 33.3 and 45.0 RPM speeds. This unit includes an 80VA mains transformer, acting as a dedicated amplifier that delivers consistent output to the twin coils of the high-torque motor.
