High-Performance Active Subwoofer Interconnect | Brisbane HiFi Audio Specialist
The Chord Company C-sub is a dedicated analogue subwoofer cable designed for connecting AV receivers, preamplifiers, and stereo systems to active subwoofers. Designed in Great Britain, the C-sub combines Chord Company’s ARAY conductor technology, high-purity OFC conductors, effective shielding, and quality RCA termination for reliable low-frequency signal transmission.
Its low-density PE insulation and high-density shielding help protect the signal from external interference, while the flexible construction makes it suitable for longer subwoofer cable runs in both two-channel and home cinema systems.
Key Features & Audio Engineering Highlights
- Proprietary ARAY Conductor Technology: Chord Company conductor geometry is designed to maintain accurate signal transmission and timing.
- Heavy-Gauge OFC Conductors: High-purity Oxygen-Free Copper conductors provide reliable signal transfer across extended cable runs.
- Dual-Layer High-Density Shielding: Foil and braid shielding helps protect the cable from external EMI, RFI, and mains interference.
- Direct Gold-Plated VEE 3 RCA Plug: Quality RCA termination provides reliable electrical contact and long-term durability.
- Compression-Free Over-Moulded Strain Relief: Robust plug construction protects the cable termination from mechanical stress.
- RCA & LFE Compatible: Designed for connecting AV receiver LFE/subwoofer outputs or stereo preamplifier sub-outs to active subwoofers.
