Dead On Arrival (DOA) Products

In the event that a product arrives dead on arrival (DOA), it will be promptly replaced once returned to us. Should the item be out of stock, a replacement will be ordered immediately. Any items showing signs of damage upon arrival must be assessed upon return to the store. Claims for damaged goods must be submitted via email within 24 hours of receipt, along with supporting evidence.

Product Returns

At Brisbane HiFi, we are committed to providing a seamless return experience. We will accept returns and offer an exchange voucher, repair, or refund if:

  1. The product is faulty.
  2. We do not provide refund for change of mind.
  3. The product does not match the sample or our description.

To process your return, please provide your Brisbane HiFi receipt or another valid proof of purchase.

Please Note: For electrical and electronic products, Brisbane HiFi may choose to send the product to the manufacturer’s authorized repair agent to assess the issue. If the product is found to be faulty, not of merchantable quality, unfit for purpose, or inconsistent with the description or sample, we will offer a repair, exchange voucher, or refund.

If you cannot present a receipt or valid proof of purchase, Brisbane HiFi reserves the right to decline a refund or exchange. For electrical and electronic items, we would be happy to direct you to the manufacturer’s customer service hotline for assistance with operating issues or repairs. The hotline number can be found with the product documentation.

In the case of items purchased as part of a promotional deal, any refund will be processed in accordance with the terms of the deal. Refunds will not be issued for free items, and refund amounts may be adjusted if the return affects your eligibility for the promotion.

You will be responsible for paying for your shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

 

Operating difficulties

If you are experiencing operating difficulties with electrical, electronic or other similar products we recommend you first contact the manufacturer’s customer hotline before returning the product. Many operating difficulties can be quickly solved with the right advice. The manufacturer’s customer hotline number should be included with the information supplied with your product. Brisbane HiFi reserves the right to assess the condition and age of returned goods prior to offering a repair, exchange or refund.

This may result in a repair, exchange or refund being refused.

Please note: Your original Brisbane HiFi register receipt is the best form of proof of purchase. Refunds will be issued using your original payment method. Please retain your digital invoice online for all online purchases.

Refunds will not be provided for the purchase of gift vouchers. Gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash.

To be eligible to receive a refund, any accessories and manuals supplied with the product must be included, including packaging. All of our products are sold with a full Australian Manufacturers Warranty and we are Australian authorised to sell all products we supply. The terms of each warranty are specific to each manufacturer and vary depending on the product. Most manufacturer warranties provide protection against defects or faults for at least 12 months Brisbane HiFi does not accept any refund claims for any goods after 2 days from the date of purchase or simply change of mind.

Lay-by Purchases & Pre-Order Items

All lay-by purchases must be completed within 3 months from the date of the first payment unless otherwise specified in writing by a Brisbane HiFi representative. If a lay-by is not finalised within this period, it may be cancelled, and you will not be eligible for a refund. For pre-order items, the 3-month period will begin once the stock arrives in store.

By placing a pre-order, you are committing to purchase the item. The deposit you pay secures both the stock and the agreed price. You also commit to paying the remaining balance once the item becomes available for delivery.

Cancellations on all orders

Please note a Flat Fee of $80 cancellation applies to all orders to cover processing and administration costs.

For any orders placed where stock is not available immediately, Brisbane HiFi will order and supply exactly what has been ordered. An email will be sent with an ETA (estimated time of arrival). Brisbane HiFi can only give you an estimated date and will not be held responsible for any delays. In placing an order, you agree that supply delays do not warrant a refund if the delay is due to external suppliers and not the fault of Brisbane HiFi. No refunds will be issued for placed orders due to a simple change of mind.

Cancellation on “Order In Items” needs to be notified within 48 hours of placing the order via email to receive a full refund, failing this a cancellation fee on the order will attract a 50% restocking fee on the total value purchased. As Brisbane HiFi supplies our clients with only new items and components, it is our obligation to fulfil all orders exactly as they are described.

Warranty Disclaimer

Brisbane HiFi is not responsible for any limitations in programming functionality due to incompatibility or restrictions of products supplied by the customer.

The warranty will be voided if anyone other than a Brisbane HiFi employee tampers with or attempts to repair any issues with the product.

Installation services do not cover damage caused by acts of God or other events beyond the control of Brisbane HiFi.

Brisbane HiFi cannot guarantee that installations involving wall fixtures will not result in cracks or other wall damage.

We reserve the right to terminate your warranty if you modify, alter, or change the equipment or its settings after installation.

Service may also be declined if unsafe or unhealthy conditions are present, including potential code violations.

For removal services, Brisbane HiFi is not liable for any damage or alterations made to your property.

The warranty will be void if a product fails or is damaged due to improper storage, misuse, neglect, accidents, or improper adjustment of consumer controls.

Short-circuiting equipment will be considered misuse and will result in the warranty being void.

Others

All Ex-Demonstration, Trade-In, Clearance, Open-Box and consignment sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be given for change of mind, issues caused by product misuse or for problems or defects with the product that are disclosed.
