The Audio-Technica AT-LP5x is a fully manual direct-drive turntable designed for versatile, high-quality analogue playback. Building on the AT-LP5 platform, the LP5x adds three-speed operation, a switchable MM/MC phono preamplifier, USB output, and an external power supply.
Its low-noise DC servo direct-drive motor provides stable rotation, while the die-cast aluminium platter and 5 mm rubber mat help control unwanted vibration. A classic J-shaped tonearm with adjustable anti-skate is paired with the factory-fitted AT-VM95E Dual Moving Magnet cartridge, providing a straightforward upgrade path through Audio-Technica’s VM95 stylus range.
The integrated USB output also allows vinyl records to be digitised directly to a computer.
