Twin Belt Drive System Maximises Rotational Stability

The Volvere turntable’s twin belt drive system ensures consistent and precise rotation, optimising playback speed and stability. Unlike typical single-drive systems, the dual-belt design pairs with the high-torque motor to provide seamless power delivery across the entire playback. By minimising rotational errors and bass overhang, this system preserves each note’s rhythm and integrity, producing a deeply dynamic sound. Sapphire Bearing and Vibration Transfer Clamp Enhance Audio Fidelity

With a unique inverted stainless-steel bearing crafted from tungsten carbide and sapphire, the Volvere virtually eliminates lateral movement and background noise, letting music shine without interference. This design is self-lubricating, requiring no maintenance and promising long-term durability. The stainless-steel bearing system also incorporates a vibration transfer clamp, which flattens records and directs unwanted resonance through the turntable’s subchassis. This design captures every nuance while lowering the noise floor, creating a clean and realistic sound profile that feels vivid and true.

DSP Vari-Speed Control Unit Maintains Unwavering Playback Accuracy

The Volvere's bespoke DSP power supply drives a 24V AC synchronous motor with 55mNm of torque, significantly stronger than most alternatives. This sophisticated DSP unit keeps speed adjustments steady, regardless of mains signal fluctuations, allowing accurate and adjustable playback at 33.3 and 45 RPM. The DSP controller eliminates potential distortions and provides superior frequency modulation, maintaining rhythm and pacing while highlighting the sonic texture of each record.

Heavy Aluminium Platter with Precision-Weighted Design Controls Resonance

Volvere’s 6.7kg aluminium platter is precision-machined from a solid billet, featuring a mass-loaded edge to maintain high rotational inertia. A high-density rubber absorption ring encircles the platter, capturing minor vibrations before they impact sound quality. This, paired with a cork mat that reflects vibration effectively, maintains acoustic integrity for a deep, immersive soundstage. The conical bearing self-centres the platter, preventing lateral movement and enhancing stability, crucial for transparent and unaltered playback.

Frequency Tuned Suspension Minimises External Interference

Derived from AVID’s reference models, the Volvere employs a frequency-tuned, three-point suspension system. With vertical and lateral adjustments tuned at 3.2Hz and 4.5Hz, respectively, the suspension effectively shields the cartridge from ambient vibrations. This design keeps extraneous noise exceptionally low, safeguarding playback clarity and minimising tracking errors, especially with high-sensitivity cartridges. Each suspension point is individually adjustable, allowing compatibility with various tonearm weights and types while ensuring flawless isolation.

High-Rigidity Subchassis for Sound Precision and Clarity

The Volvere’s subchassis, crafted from cast aluminium, optimises rigidity to maintain firm tonearm and bearing alignment, protecting against detail loss in playback. Specialised coatings damp high-frequency vibrations, time-aligning dissipation for clarity across the spectrum.
